Process Safety performance

Process Safety performance at QAFAC facilities has been excellent with long strings of zero injury for both employees and contractors. At QAFAC, process safety is applied throughout the whole spectrum of the process from the early design phase of building facilities, to running the plant on a day to day basis. This involves regular inspections  and audits which ensure all systems and equipment are running in a safe and efficient manner. Risks are evaluated by a comprehensive and disciplined approach, and addressed by the hierarchy of hazard control. QAFAC ensures that for highly hazardous scenarios, multiple layers of preventative and mitigative barriers are applied

In 2014, a Process Safety Improvement program named “AMAN” was introduced across the organization to have robust and sustainable Process Safety management system. The program aim was to achieve excellence in operational performance
