ISO 14001 Certification

Qatar Fuel Additives Company (QAFAC)has been awarded the ISO 14001:2004 certification by TUV Management Service GmbH, an international certification body, for the manufacture and supply of Methanol and Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE).

The newly revised ISO 14001:2004 specifies the requirements for an Environmental Management System , which provides a framework for an organization to control the environmental impacts of its activities, products and services, and to continually improve its environmental performance.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rashid Misfer Al-Hajri, General Manager QAFAC said, "Being responsible corporate citizens, we have higher aims to achieve excellence in environmental protection. This certification highlights the fact that we have achieved a vital goal in our aim to create a strong and effective Environmental Management System that exceeds our Stakeholders expectations". He added that this milestone has been achieved with team work and commitment of QAFAC employees with their continual improvement.
